Spatial and Economic Effects of Yangtze River-Huaihe River Water Transfer Project on the Transportation Accessibility of Bulk Cargo within Anhui Province, China

This study examined the influence of Yangtze River-Huaihe River Water Transfer Project (YHWTP) on transportation accessibility bulk cargo in 16 cities Anhui Province based modern infrastructure. We also discussed change strength economic linkages affected by YHWTP for within and Delta using gravity model. The results demonstrate that: (1) will significantly improve commodities among Province, especially along project route. It reduce minimum average transport cost (MATC) weighted (WATC). (2) has a different cities, making location conditions more unequal. (3) spatial distribution caused be mainly concentrated triangular region, formed Huainan, Anqing, Wuhu. (4) total (TSEL) (YRD) with an increase 27.62% 9.04%, respectively. (5) Overall, Hefei benefit most from YHWTP.
